Please share with others my contribution to the "Testimonials" section of the IMA website - My IMA experience has been so helpful, I want to "give something back".

• The "Diversity In Mentoring" conference I attended several years ago was a turning point for our institution's near-dysfunctional mentoring program! With the tools I gained at the conference, our program was transformed to include the essentials of successful mentoring programs: selection, training, structure, monitoring, and assessment.
• Furthermore, I discovered the broad spectrum of organizations where mentoring programs exist, as well as the application of effective mentoring principles across this spectrum, including business, education, and community-based prorgrams. IMA is truly a "diverse" group with so much to offer us. My learning and insights have been tremendous because of that range of experience!
• The knowledgeabe, dedicated, and generous professionals I met formed a network that I have been able to expand at each successive conference, and that network has been critical to my success.
• The "library" of materials I have gathered from the these contacts has been invaluable. What a range of resources! With the expanded web site, these will increase considerably, as will the access to them. Great!
• The mentors from our program who accompanied me to the most recent conference were inspired and energized - their enhanced skills and ownership of the program will undoubtedly contribute to its success and continued development.
