The "Diversity In Mentoring" conference I attended several years ago was a turning point for our institution's near-dysfunctional mentoring program! With the tools I gained at the conference, our program was transformed to include the essentials of successful mentoring programs: selection, training, structure, monitoring, and assessment.

The mentors from our program who accompanied me to the most recent conference were inspired and energized - their enhanced skills and ownership of the program will undoubtedly contribute to its success and continued development.
