• The Need for a Peer Coaching Coordinator - A KEY role for mentors is providing proteges observation-based feed back on the technical aspects of excellent pracrtice at work. That role is called "coaching", an activity which is time-intensive, which requires time to coordinate, but which can produce amazing professional growth and performance improvement IF done WELL. • Individual mentoring for your own professional growth by an IMA Mentor of Mentors. During each conference you have the opportunity to sign up for a private mentoring appointment with one of the IMA's most experienced people. You can bring problems, questions, program documents, assessment results, whatever you have, and ask questions of your mentor to help you consider your best course of action.

  The IMA Mentor of Mentors can facilitate your:

  • Comparison and analysis of assessment data
  • Discovery of patterns in the data which demonstrate strengths and areas for on-going improvement
  • Identification of ways to better capitalize on your strengths
  • Setting of goals and objectives for any areas needing improvement
  • Development of an action plan and time line to implement your professional improvements
  • Definition of indicators for measuring your growth and success
  • Agreement on ways your IMA Mentor of Mentors can support your professional growth plan, such as on-going support and "gentle" accountability for living out your good intentions.
