This is EXACTLY why people become donors and sponsors to IMA. This is precisely why YOU should consider becoming an IMA donor or sponsor.

What's the Difference - Sponsor or Donor?

• · A Sponsor gives for a specific purpose or project that the sponsor selects or proposes. The potential sponsor works with an IMA representative (probably a Board member) to assess IMA needs and decide which need to target. Examples include sponsoring:
  • a conference reception for new members
  • a specific keynote speaker and kind of message
  • a scholarship to a needy individual or organization to allow participation in an IMA experience, conference, training, etc.
  • design and delivery of a needed IMA event or service
  • research into specific areas of need in the mentoring knowledge base
  • Etc.
  • Tell us your creative ideas for a sponsorship you'd consider doing? What IMA activity would align with your or your organization's initiatives or mission?

• A Donor gives with no strings attached and for the general purpose of supporting IMA. This approach allows IMA to determine the greatest needs and to set the priorities for the use of these resources. Examples are similar to those listed above.

Donor Levels:

• Legacy - $25,000 or more made available to IMA through bequests, insurance settlements, trusts, endowments, or your will. Consider making the IMA one of the beneficiaries in your estate.
• Fellows = $25,000 +
• President's Club = $10,000-$24,999
• Heritage = $5,000-$9,999
• Friend of IMA = $1,000-$4,999

All sponsors and donors are acknowledged in several ways, including announcements and introductions to the membership at the next annual IMA conference, articles in the IMA Newsletter, and on the IMA web site, and personal letters of thanks from the IMA President.
